Summer training days

Additional Information

E.S.SKI A. holds training days each summer, at dry slope venues around the country.

The Summer Training Days are aimed at pupils in year 3 or older who can already ski. Trainers who have worked with the E.S.SKI A. Squads on the snow will be staffing the training days. The days are intended as a starter layer to the E.S.SKI A. Development Programme, and there will be elements tailored specifically for the younger children, who we are particularly keen to encourage. Alongside this, we will encourage our squad members to participate thus setting the pace for progress.

On each of the days the emphasis will be on enjoyment and technique, with some pole training. Previous race training experience is NOT necessary.

Each day will consist of two ski sessions, with a break for lunch or snack in between. It is also an opportunity for teachers and parents to meet E.S.SKI.A. staff and there is often a question/answer session on some ski related topic for the adults.

Places will be limited so early application is advisable and available places will be allocated on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS, with completed application and payment. Further details will be sent to those applying. If training sessions are oversubscribed, priority will be given to skiers from current member schools.
